There currently are no ordinances restricting occupancy in Walton County.
No vehicle shall be permitted to park on public building lawns, or in front of, or so as to block entrances or driveways into public or private property from streets, avenues, highways or boulevards.
No vehicle shall be permitted to park in any private alley, drive, driveway or on other privately owned property without the permission or consent of the owners of such private alley, drive, driveway or property.
It shall be unlawful and a violation of the section for a person to make, cause or permit if within his or her control the making or causing of any noise disturbance between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. that is plainly audible from within an occupied residence not the residence of the person making, causmg or permitting the making or causing of the noise disturbance.
Household garbage is collected twice weekly (CLICK HERE to find your location on the map and confirm pick-up days) and should be placed in 32 gallon garbage containers with secure lids or bagged and tied if placed in a larger can with a secure lid. It should be placed about 10 feet from pavement or vehicle lane on a dirt road. Please do not block mail carrier access. Please limit cans and bags to 50 lbs. Household garbage may include televisions, monitors, printers, computers, microwave ovens, toasters and other counter-top appliances.
Household garbage pickup does not include: yard waste, white goods (metal), mattresses, box springs, carpet, large plastic toys or strollers, vinyl or plastic pools, furniture, rechargeable batteries, hazardous materials or building materials. Household garbage will not be picked up if it is mixed with any of the above materials.
Be sure to have your cart out by 5 a.m. to ensure pickup.
